Hi Folks.  I’m moving from Blogger (Journey to my Knitting Patterns) to WordPress, and here’s my inaugural Worpress post.  I’m just finding out how things work over here, so things may not be perfect.  But were they ever anyway?

When I figure out how, I’m planning to set up “pages” where I’ll list my available knitting patterns.  I’m hoping this is going to be a great advantage of being on this platform.  Wish me luck.

For those not “au fait”, I’ve been blogging since 2009 on my plunge into the world of Knitwear design.  I have knitting patterns available free and to buy.  My independent designs are shown progressing here.  Those for magazines, I have to keep hush hush until publication.  I’m currently working on my third piece for a magazine, so not much to report here at the moment.

On the non-knitting front, we had an unprecedented and totally unexpected visit from a pair of King Parrots a couple of weeks ago.  DH was having a cuppa out on the back deck and quietly called me out to see these beautys.  We kept our movements slow and quiet, and they didn’t seem at all fazed by us.  At first glance, I thought they were Crimson Rosellas, but DH, the birdo of the family, assured me they were King Parrots.  Coincidentally, B had just learnt about them at school, and wondered if this was a sign to make them her project subject.  Up to then, I’d never seen a King Parrot either in captivity or in the wild.  Quite a treat!
